Objective & Purpose of the Village programme

The objective and purpose of the Countrystyle Community Tourism Village programme rests in the fundamental vision of Countrystyle; which is to empower and develop communities, on a sustainable basis; dynamically marketing and exposing their natural culture, talents, passions and potential to the world; packaging each individual community as a unique destination (product) within the general destination (Jamaica).

The Countrystyle Community Tourism Network has successfully developed a dynamic marketing theme for communities “ the Community Experience of Jamaica” which offers local and foreign visitors a diverse vacation and tour experience anywhere in the island and the Caribbean which promotes the heritage, culture, music, cuisine, entertainment and lifestyle of the people - we have won three international Awards in Responsible Tourism -

The Mission of Countrystyle is to support the development of community tourism in Jamaica and internationally and to educate all stakeholders of its importance to the cause of peace, poverty alleviation and sustainable development and to offer local and foreign visitors diverse ‘community experience’ vacations and tours.

• Villages marketed as a vacation and tour destination within Jamaica and the Caribbean and be ‘environmentally friendly’

• The Countrystyle Community Tourism Network will be able to provide a diverse and interesting community experience to local and international visitors

• Village communities will gain income directly from visitors through tours, bed & breakfast accommodation, entertainment and meals

The Countrystyle Community Tourism Village programme will ensure that the villages are developed in a sustainable way to protect the natural and cultural environment and improve the quality of its citizens through community tourism
