Now, more than ever, it is important to study the fragile ecosystem of South Florida. The Gulf Oil Spill will most likely impact the wetlands and the coral reefs off the Florida Keys. Take science students on a tour of South Florida for a greater understanding of Everglades National Park, also called the Island of Grass, and the coral reefs of the Florida Keys. Students can take a swamp buggy tour or airboat ride in the Everglades and visit the Dolphin Research Center and take a Glass Bottom Boat Ride in the keys for an up close look at environmental effects of the spill.
