European Ecotourism Conference “Balancing Sustainability and Profitability” will be held 26.-30. of September 2010 in Pärnu, Estonia.
Conference will bring together 200+ people with aim to share knowledge and experience on ecotourism themes in Europe. Programme includes presentations and discussions. Registration for the EETC 2010 is open now, and the special early-bird rate is available through August 15th, 2010. Conference Mission: The European Ecotourism Conference aims to serve as a European-wide forum where stakeholders involved in ecotourism can gain insight into the current state of ecotourism development and future challenges, as well as opportunities, facing European destinations and communities. On October 19th to the 23rd, 2009 the Third International Conference on Responsible Tourism in Destinations will be carried out in Belmopan City, Belize. Delegates from all around the world will convene to witness, discuss, and share presentations and their professional hindsight on some pressing issues of the Global Tourism Industry.

LEARNING CBT BY "OSMOSIS"
A free community-based tourism (CBT) workshop in Siem Reap, Cambodia will give participants the opportunity to attend presentations, workshops, individual consultations, as well as enjoy an excursion to the CBT project Osmose on Tonle Sap Lake. CBT trainers, CBT network managers, development workers, tourism boards, and tour operators will attend. To take place March 19-21, the event has been organized by CCBEN in co-operation with ECEAT, INDECON, STDC Mongolia, and CBT Asia, with the financial support of the EU Asia Invest Program.

BEING A TOURISM STUDENT I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THAT IN THE PRESENT RECESSION SCENARIO THROUGH OUT THE GLOBE CAN WE STILL THINK OPTIMISTICLY ABOUT CAREERS IN TOURISM.

with the recent bombings in almost throughout the world specially easy targets like hotels, malls etc how can it be expected that tourism will grow which added fuel in the fire of recession. tourist will find it very hard to trust and will never risk their security by visiting such places. can we still be positive about growth.
