A Soneva resort has a limited number of accommodations, Six Senses Hideaway identifies the private pool villa category, Six Senses Latitude offers a greater number of accommodations. Six Senses Spa is a key element of all Six Senses properties as well as hosted by prestigious resorts in other locations. Six Senses Destination Spas combines spa and resort into healthy and mindful living. Evason introduces a collection of unique resorts of uncompromised responsibility to the environment and to the community.

Six Senses Social and Environment Programme was originally initiated by Six Senses Resorts and Spas’ (Six Senses) founders Mr. Sonu and Mrs. Eva Shivdasani, Chairman & CEO and Creative Director respectively, with the objective to enhance social and environmental involvement of the Six Senses managed properties. The Social and Environmental Programme is developed in line with Six Senses’ Core Purpose: “To create innovative and enriching experiences in a sustainable environment.” Six Senses Social and Environment Sustainability Policy commits to sustainable development, with environmental responsibility being a core value and fundamental to the business. The goal is to minimize negative social and environmental impacts. Moreover, the goal is to maximize positive social and environmental impacts through conservation, awareness rising and social contributions.

In doing so, four different programmes have been established:
1. Holistic Environmental Management Programme
2. Social and Environmental Responsibility Programme
3. Environmental Awareness and Capacity Building
4. Corporate Partnership Programme

These programmes are led by the groups Social & Environmental Conscience, a permanent position in the head office. The Social & Environmental Conscience’s role is to develop policies, strategies, direction, and all necessary procedures to assist the resorts and spas in order to improve social and environmental performances which are the key success for the promotion of sustainable tourism and hospitality. On property level a Social & Environmental Coordinator is hired either on a full-time basis or part time basis to implement the programmes.
