Social Studies Teacher Takes Students on a Unique Tour of Georgia

Many students traveling to Georgia focus on the Atlanta metro area. This social studies educator teaches Georgia history and she wanted a tour that mirrored the curriculum for this class. The student tour included a stop in Milledgeville, the first capital of the state, and Andersonville Prison, where Northern soldiers were kept during the Civil War. Students also visited Atlanta, where they toured CNN Studios, the Governor's Mansion and the Bremen Holocaust Museum.
